Have you been waiting to pack up your new motorhome or travel trailer and take your family to explore some of America’s most beautiful scenery? Then, be sure to take advantage of this year’s fee free days at our national parks!
Out of America’s 398 national parks, 144 of the parks charge an entrance fee (including Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon). But, on select days this year, you can take your RV in for free!
“Our national parks, wildlife refuges, forests and other public lands offer every American a place to get outdoors, learn about our nation’s history and culture and restore our spirits,” said Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. “By providing free admission, we are rolling out the welcome mat for Americans to visit and enjoy these extraordinary treasures that belong to all of us!”
This years fee free days include:
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: January 21
- National Parks Week: April 22 – 26
- Get Outdoors Day: June 8
- National Public Lands Day: September 28
- Veterans Day Weekend: November 9 – 11
